An early 20th century Ceylonese white metal circular box, the cover embossed with a lion roundel within a surround of elephant, horse, lion and ox, on a scrolling tendril ground, the sides with further scrolling tendrils and circular panels, the underside engraved with a peacock, weight 160.7g, diameter 11.5cm, together with an Indian white metal jug, decorated with scrolling tendrils, weight 132g, height 10.5cm.
