A George III silver gilt two-handled trophy cup, the tapered body with bright cut engraved band above floral festoons supporting a shield shaped cartouche, inscribed 'The Gift of T. Townley Parker Esq High Sheriff of Lancashire to Henry Croft His Chaplain 1793', above a band of relief moulded stiff leaves, flanked by a pair of foliate capped downswept handles, on a circular foot with further engraved floral festoons and stiff leaf border, London 1793 by Peter and Ann Bateman, weight 1137.7g, height 30cm.
