Contemporary black morocco, red morocco lettering piece to the second compartment, volute tooling in gilt to the rest, gilt monogram and motto to upper cover, g.e. Note: the fore-edge painting shows John Bunyan addressing the people at Moot Hall in Bedford. Provenance: Blackheath Proprietary School (insignia to upper cover).
