WOODWARD, John. An Essay towards a Natural History of the Earth and Terrestrial Bodyes, especially Minerals: as also of the Sea, Rivers, and Springs. With an Account of the Universal Deluge and of the Effects that it had upon the Earth. London: for A. Bettesworth and W. Taylor, 1723. Third edition, 8vo (187 x 112mm.) Title, engraved ornaments and initials. (Spotting to preliminaries and rear leaves, occasionally heavy within, some browning and marginal damp-staining.) Contemporary calf, black morocco lettering piece to the second compartment of the spine, gilt volutes to the rest (rubbing to all extremities). - And a further volume, unrelated (Thomas Dudley Fosbrooke's 'British Monarchism', 2 vols. in 1, 1802) (2).
