BINDING. The Book of Common Prayer and Administration of the Sacraments and other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church. Edinburgh: James Blair and John Nairn, 1737. Small 8vo (94 x 53mm.) (Toning, hand-written prayer in contemporary hand verso the front-free endpaper and hand-written note to rear blank.) Contemporary black morocco ruled with single fillet between hound's tooth rolls surrounding a central gilt scallop within which the Royal Stuart motto, filled with foliate gilt and corner-pieces, turn-ins, g.e. (some rubbing). Provenance: Catharine Brome (name inscribed to title and initial blank).
