BINDINGS. The Holy Bible with a Devotional and Practical Commentary. London: James S. Virtue, [circa 1861.] Vol. 1 (only). Folio, (371 x 264mm.) Numerous steel-engraved plates, OT text with commentary by Robert Jamieson. (Spotting to margins and verso the plates, toning, spotting to rear blanks.) Contemporary black morocco with gilt fleur-de-lys and acorn tendrils within fillet borders surrounding a similar densely in-filled rectangle with elaborate corner-pieces, g.e. (lightly rubbed). - And a further three bound copies of the Bible (4).
