LOT 2625
A very large 18th century cast bronze crotal bell by Robert Wells of Aldbourne Foundry, Wiltshire, size 28, the suspension loop with the remnants of a leather surround, the lower half with sunburst and 'R.W.' initials, retaining iron pea to interior, diameter 12.5cm (small hairline to edge of one lobe). Note: Robert Wells made bells in sizes 1 to 30, so this rare example is near the largest that were produced.
