A Victorian and later part canteen of silver Fiddle and Thread pattern cutlery, comprising eight table forks, four tablespoons, eight dessert forks and spoons, eight soup spoons and eight teaspoons, dates ranging from London 1938 by John James Whiting to Sheffield 1930 by Daniel George Collins, total weight 3125g, together with a set of eight matched silver handled table knives and two dessert knives, Sheffield 1981, and seven matched dessert knives, Sheffield 1957.
