Half title, engraved frontispiece of 'La Roulette' with hand-colouring, 2 related newspaper articles tipped-in to preliminaries. (Occasional browning, spotting verso frontispiece, blanks replaced.) Near contemporary maroon morocco over marbled paper-covered boards, t.e.g. (rubbing, sunning to spine, endpapers replaced). Provenance: John Gerard Heckscher (bookplates to front pastedown and front-free endpaper).
