Johnston, [circa 1820.] 4to (227 x 135mm.) Hand-coloured aquatint vignette to title, 19 hand-coloured aquatint plates, list of plates to rear. (Blanks replaced, toning, occasional light spotting.) 20th century red half morocco over marbled paper-covered boards, paper titling to spine (fading to spine, endpapers replaced). Note: dated to the additional title [1820]. Provenance: 'S.S.' (bookplate to the front pastedown). - And a related volume ('The Tour of Doctor Syntax in Search of the Picturesque', [n.d. circa 1820], 8vo) (2).
