MATISSE, Henri. The Last Works of Henri Matisse 1950-1954. New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1958. Folio (357 x 262mm.) 40 colour lithograph plates, some double-paged and triple-paged with heliogravures in black and white of related drawings, texts by Pierre Reverdy and Georges Duthuit. (Toning to margins, a small marginal tear to p.120.) Original boards designed by Matisse (upper joint splits of one and three inches), dust-jacket (minor chipping, loss at tail of spine). Note: the American issue of Verve in the French edition, nos. 35 and 36.
