NATURAL HISTORY. - R.A. STERNDALE and E.H. AITKEN (editors). The Journal of the Bombay Natural History Society. Bombay and Madras: Caxton Steam Printing Works and Diocesan Press, 1886-1954. 51 vols. in 52, 8vo (229 x 146mm.) Numerous lithographed and chromolithographed plates, numerous uncoloured and photographic illustrations. (Toning, occasional browning and spotting.) Early 20th century black half morocco over marbled paper-covered boards (23) and later blue cloth (29), gilt lettering, and some (11) with manuscript ink lettering to spines (some fading, rubbing). Note: a continuous run from Vol. 1, nos. 1 to Vol. 51, nos. 2. - And a further volume ('The Bombay Natural History Society 1883-1933, 1933, 8vo) (53).
