LOT 1096
An 18th century and later enamelled keywind open-faced pocket watch, the gilt fusee movement with verge escapement and Egyptian pillars, the backplate detailed 'John May London', the gilt balance cock of solid circular form, decorated in low relief with a portrait of Queen Anne, the gilt dial with black Roman hours and outer Arabic minutes framing a central enamel panel painted with a naked lady, the later enamelled case painted to the inside with a scene of Leda and the swan, the exterior with two cherubs on a cloudy blue ground, case diameter 5.5cm.
