COOMARASWAMY, Ananda. Prayers and Epigrams. [New York:] The Sunwise Turn, 1918. Limited edition, this being one of 100 copies, 32mo (109 x 69mm.) Engraved illustration by Eric Gill verso the title-page. (Mild toning.) Original paper wrappers, string-bound (slight toning). Note: Coomaraswamy's friendship with Eric Gill began in London in 1908 and it led to an Indian influence in Gill's work. By 1917, Coomaraswamy was in New York where the Sunwise Turn bookshop published this work.
