LANG, Andrew. [The Fairy Books.] London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1889-1910. 12 vols., first editions, 8vo (182 x 118mm.) 64 colour plates and numerous uncoloured plates by H.J. Ford and others, advertisements to rear. (Moderate spotting to 'Red' volume, toning, 2 plates in 'Brown' volume with later hand-colouring, a 2-inch tear to p.110 of 'Brown' volume, 'Pink' and 'Brown' volumes lacking rear blanks.) Original vari-coloured cloth, elaborate pictorial gilt to upper covers and spines, g.e. (some fading to spines, gilt dulled to 'Yellow' and 'Pink' book, bumped to extremities). Note: a complete set of the 'Fairy' books. All plates present.
