LEWIS, C.S. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. London: Geoffrey Bles, 1950. First edition, 8vo (195 x 132mm.) Colour frontispiece and numerous uncoloured illustrations by Pauline Baynes. (Toning, faint spotting to title-page, occasional finger-mark.) Original green cloth (spine lean, sunning to spine, several nicks to the cloth, including one to the upper cover that penetrates the first two preliminaries). Provenance: Sheila Spence (name inscribed to the front-free endpaper).
