SYMONDS, Mary and Louisa PREECE. Needlework Through the Ages. London: Hodder & Stoughton Ltd., 1928. First edition, 4to (309 x 247mm.) Frontispiece, 103 plates from photographs with captioned tissue-guards. (Repair to 3-inch tear to frontispiece, toning, occasional finger-mark.) Original vellum-backed cloth, t.e.g. (rubbed to extremities, minor soiling to covers). Provenance: Victoria and Albert Museum (label to front pastedown, stamps to title-page).
