CONJURING. - Will GOLDSTON. Exclusive Magical Secrets. London: The Magician, Ltd., [1912.] Limited edition, this being number 888, first edition, 4to (245 x 180mm.) Numerous illustrations. (Toning, minor spotting to preliminaries.) Original maroon morocco-covered boards with brass lock and key (rubbing to extremities and lower joint splitting). Note: one of the trilogy of Goldston's famous 'Locked Books' of magic. In this case both lock and key are present and functioning. - And a further forty volumes relating to Will Goldston (including two copies of 'More Exclusive Magical Secrets', [1921], 4to, and twenty volumes of 'Goldston's Magical Quarterly', 1934-1939, 8vo). Provenance: by descent, from the estate of Barry Murray (41).
