SMITH, Adam. An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations. London: Cadell and Davies, 1812. 3 vols., new edition, 8vo (206 x 128mm.) 48pp. 'index' to rear of volume 3. (Lacking half-titles, spotting to all preliminaries and rear leaves.) Contemporary half calf over marbled paper-covered boards, red morocco lettering pieces to the spines (wear to spine panel of volume 1, rubbing). - And a further twenty-three volumes, mostly related to finance (including the fourth edition of Richard Price's 'Observations on Reversionary Payments', 2 vols., 1783, 8vo, and a second edition of J.S. Mill's 'Utilitarianism', 1864, 8vo) (26).
