AMMAN, Jost. Neuwe Biblische Figuren. Frankfurt: Georg Rabe, Sigmund Feyerabend and Weygand Henners Heirs, 1565. Second edition, oblong 4to (160 x 201mm.) Title in red and black, 5pp. text including 3pp. preface by Feyerabend, 131 woodcut illustrations by Amman after Johann Melchior Bocksperger, colophon to rear, additional plate from a later printing inserted at C2, another at G2. (Paper repair to title, the word 'Figuren' affected, leaves a1-B3 nearly detached, marginal insect-damage from B1-F4, browning, corner loss to Q2-R2.) Contemporary vellum (covers warped and soiled).
