A Chinese famille rose porcelain vase, Republic style but probably later, of rectangular form, one side painted with a recumbent scholar, beside three rows of black text and iron red seal, the reverse with a seated nobleman and attendant beside two lines of black text and red seal, the sides with larger black characters, iron red seal mark to base, height 22.5cm.
