A Chinese iron red decorated porcelain vase, mark and period of Daoguang, the ovoid body painted with a uniform design of iron red lotus flowerheads and scrolling tendrils, underglaze blue seal mark to base, height 25.5cm (hairline crack, reduced neck and lacking handles), together with a famille rose porcelain vase, Republic period, painted with opposing figural panels reserved against a ground of dense flowers, blue enamelled four-character mark of Qianlong to base, height 22.9cm (extensive repair and losses).
