SEARLE, Ronald. Les Trés Riches Heures de Mrs Mole. Oxford: Artists' Choice Editions, 2011. Limited edition, this being number 148 of 156 copies signed by Ronald Searle and his wife Monica, 4to (268 x 167mm.) Illustrations by Ronald Searle. Original tan morocco-backed suede covers, morocco label mounted to upper cover, slipcase (minor scuffing to side panels). Note: when Monica, Ronald Searle's wife, was diagnosed with breast cancer the artist painted a water-colour for her for every session of chemotherapy that she endured. Happily, Monica survived many years, but they both died within months of putting this book together. Provenance: Leon F. Rew (name inscribed to front pastedown).
