TRAVEL. - Albert SMITH. A Month at Constantinople. London: David Bogue, 1850. First edition, 8vo (198 x 117mm.) Numerous illustrations in the text, 'Appendix', 8pp. publisher's advertisements to rear. (Lacking frontispiece, spotting to front and rear blanks.) Near contemporary cloth-backed boards (light rubbing, spotting to lower cover). - And a further five works related to Constantinople (Théophile Gautier's 'Constantinople of Today', 1854, 8vo, and Walter Colton's 'Visit to Constantinople and Athens', 1849, 8vo, and volume 1 [of 2] of Robert Semple's 'Observations on a Journey Through Spain and Italy to Naples; and Thence to Smyrna and Constantinople', 1808, 8vo) (6).
