Numerous illustrations in the text by John Gilbert and Birket Foster, 8 mounted albumen photographs by G.W. Wilson, tissue-guards. (Toning.) Original red cloth with inlaid panel of wood 'from the Douglas Room of Stirling Castle, saved from fire 18th Nov 1855', g.e. (rebacked with original spine laid-down). - And a further volume (Robert Pitcairn's 'Harrow School', 1870, 8vo) (2).
