MIDDLE EAST. - Charles M. DOUGHTY. Travels in Arabia Deserta. London: Philip Lee Warner, 1921. 2 vols., first printing of the second edition, 8vo (219 x 137mm.) Photogravure portrait frontispiece, introduction by T.E. Lawrence, numerous plans and plates, some folding, colour map in pocket to rear of volume 1, illustrations in the text. (Toning.) Original green cloth, pictorial gilt to upper covers, t.e.g. (slight fading to spines, small tear to top of spine of volume 1). - And a further four volumes related to the Middle East, all by T.E. Lawrence (including the first impression of 'The Letters of T.E. Lawrence', 1938, 8vo) (6).
