After Michael Angelo Hayes - 'The Charge of the 16th Lancers at the Battle of Aliwal 1846', sepia print, 24cm x 48cm, mounted (some faults). Note: the Battle of Aliwal was fought on 28th January 1846 between the British and Sikh forces in Northern India. Britain's victory in the battle is regarded as the turning point in the first Anglo-Sikh war.
