                An Edwardian silver plate with shaped gadrooned rim and engraved Marling family crest, London 1908 by Daniel & John Wellby, weight 626g, diameter 24.2cm. Note: it is believed this plate was made for Sir Percival Scrope Marling, 3rd Baronet of Stanley Park and Sedbury Hall, who was an English British Army Officer and a recipient of the Victoria Cross for his bravery at the Battle of Tamai in Sudan during the Mahdist War in 1884.
