WELLS, H.G. The Works… Atlantic Edition. London: T. Fisher Unwin Ltd., 1924-1927. 28 vols. Limited 'Atlantic Edition', signed by H.G. Wells, this being number 393 of 620 copies for Great Britain, 8vo (223 x 149mm.) Signed by Wells on the limitation page of volume 1, portrait photogravure frontispiece. (Toning.) Near contemporary burgundy half morocco over red cloth-covered boards, bound by Bayntun of Bath, gilt lettering to spine, t.e.g. Provenance: Neville Blond, textile industrialist and philanthropist (bookplates to front pastedowns). - And a further two volumes by H.G. Wells, also bound by Bayntun ('An Experiment in Autobiography', 2 vols., 1934, 8vo) (30).
