A 19th century Mexican coconut 'bugbear' money box with finely carved relief decoration, one end typically modelled with a face with inset glass eyes, the other side with a bust portrait of Porfirio Diaz, length 10.8cm. Note: José de la Cruz Porfirio Diaz Mori (1830-1915) was a Mexican soldier and politician, who served seven terms as President of Mexico.
