A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase by Meizan, Meiji period, the square trumpet neck finely painted and gilt with panels of figures and landscapes, divided by flowers, between simulated brocade borders, the lobed body painted with panels of figures and butterflies within gilt scroll moulded frames above sprays of fruit and flowers, gilt signature to base, height 12.5cm (minor hairline to rim).
