BINDINGS. - Jane AUSTEN. The Novels… the Text Based on the Collation of the Early Editions by R.W. Chapman. London & New York: Oxford University Press, 1953-1958. 6 vols., 8vo (182 x 135mm.) Numerous black and white plates. (Spotting to preliminaries and rear leaves, mild toning.) Contemporary red half morocco, gilt lettering to spines (slight fading, some discolouring to upper cover of vol. 5). Provenance: Susan Horner (gift inscribed in gilt on morocco plate to front pastedown of vol. 1); The House of Commons Library (gift inscribed from in gilt to Susan Horner). - And a further ten volumes ('The Novels of the Sisters Bronte', 10 vols., 1905-1913, 8vo) (16).
