First trade edition, 8vo (202 x 153mm.) Half-title, 13 colour plates with captioned tissue-guards, numerous illustrations. (Toning, occasional very minor spotting.) Original green cloth, pictorial gilt to upper cover (some fading to spine). Provenance: B.H. Waite (name inscribed verso frontispiece).
