Whitridge et al., 1764. 2 vols., folio (418 x 270mm.) Titles in red and black, 23 engraved plates including 2 maps, 1 double-paged of Russia after Thomas Kitchen. (Some marginal damp-staining, occasionally affecting text, lacking 38 plates, lacking blanks, marginal insect-damage to preliminaries of vol. 2, browning.) Contemporary calf, red and black morocco lettering pieces (vol. 2 rebacked with original spine laid-down, minor loss to spine ends, some scuffing). Provenance: Hinckes (ink name inscribed to titles); George Aiken Batchelder (bookplates to front pastedowns) (2).
