(Toning, light spotting to preliminaries, faint spotting to 1 illustration.) Original boards designed by Paul Nash, paper label to spine (spine ends lightly rubbed, small stain to lower cover). Provenance: L.E.C. Hughes (stamp to front-free endpaper and title-page). - And a further thirty-nine mainly literary volumes (including Franz Kafka's 'The Trial', 1946, 8vo) (40).
