British or Irish School - an early/mid-18th century oval half-length portrait miniature of a gentleman wearing a perriwig and ceremonial robes, possibly The Hon. Henry Boyle (1684-1764), watercolour on ivory, 4.4cm x 3.5cm, within a gold mount. Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this item. Provenance: family descent from Lieutenant-General Paul Anderson to the current vendor. Formerly at Grace Dieu, Waterford.
