A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase by Hozan, Meiji period, of shouldered tapering form with short flared narrow neck, painted and gilt with leaf shaped panels filled with figures in landscape and flowers, reserved against a floral ground, gilt signature to base, height 15.5cm (minor bruise, retouched gilt to rim).
