BEWICK, Thomas. A History of British Birds. Newcastle: for T. Bewick, 1826. 2 vols., sixth edition, 8vo (215 x 128mm.) Numerous wood-engraved illustrations. (Toning, occasional scattered spotting.) Near contemporary brown half calf, red and black morocco lettering pieces to the spines (lightly rubbed extremities). – And a further seven volumes related to Thomas Bewick (including ‘History of British Birds’, Vol. 1. (only, of 2), 1797, 8vo, and ‘Bewick’s Select Fables of Aesop and Others’, 1886, 8vo) (8).
