An early 20th century German silver oval basket, the pierced sides cast with opposing oval bust portraits and sprigs of olive branches beneath a ribbon and reeded rim, flanked by scroll handles, raised on paw feet, the base crest and monogram engraved, import mark Chester 1901 by Berthold Muller, weight 666.9g, length 35.5cm.
