A Japanese silk embroidered rectangular panel, 19th century, finely worked in various shades of brown, cream, red, gold and black, depicting a scene of three rakans beneath hanging vine, one holding a diminutive pagoda, another a book, the third being Handaka Sonja holding his alms bowl from which a dragon has emerged, 118.5cm x 71cm. Provenance: property of a West Sussex private collector.
