A group of four Grand-Duché de Luxembourg banknote die proof engraver's test strike portrait vignettes of Grand Duke Jean, colour trials, comprising two in brown, one in blue and a partial work in light blue, all on oversized paper/card with full-plate margins (all extremely fine, some light handling marks). Note: this style used on notes issued 1980-1993. Provenance: from the personal archive of the late Alan Dow, master banknote engraver to Bradbury Wilkinson & Co and the Bank of England.
