A Japanese cloisonné tray, Meiji period, of rectangular form with rounded corners, decorated with two doves beneath a blossoming branch on a pale blue/green ground, within a varicoloured rim of flowers and scrolling tendrils, the underside with large peony reserved against a turquoise ground filled with scrolling red leafy tendrils, length 31.5cm.
