A Chinese Canton export lacquer workbox, early 19th century, of rectangular form with brass drop handles to sides, the hinged lid and sides with gilt foliate panels and borders, the compartmentalized interior above an arrangement of four drawers, height 15cm, length 43cm (hinge lid repaired).
