A Chinese hand painted bangu drum, early 20th century, the flattened barrel shaped drum with lacquered wood sides, fitted with a pair of iron loop handles, each end applied with a hide secured with iron studs, one side painted with a dragon, the other side with a phoenix, height 9.5cm, diameter 23cm. Provenance: the Alain Presencer Collection.
