A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase, Meiji period, of ovoid form with flared neck, moulded in relief, painted and gilt with a scene of samurai warriors, unsigned, height 47cm (rivet repair to rim), together with another Satsuma earthenware vase, Meiji period, painted with butterflies and fruiting vine, unsigned, height 47cm (rim/neck repaired).
