A Chinese export watercolour painting on silk, 19th century, depicting a scene of three scholars seated at a table with attendant boy, within a walled garden setting with blossoming prunus, rocks and lanterns, unsigned, 63.5cm x 94cm, framed and glazed. Provenance: formerly the property of the Dutch ambassador in Shanghai, circa 1900, and thence by descent.
