An impressive Japanese cloisonne vase, Meiji period, of shouldered tapering form with flared neck and circular foot, the body decorated with opposing turquoise ground panels, one filled with a scene of a cockerel, chicken and flowers, the other with a pair of doves perched on a blossoming branch and flowers, all reserved against a goldstone ground of scattered flowerheads and tendrils, height 119cm (restoration).
