LOT 1307
A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase, Meiji period, of lobed ovoid form with flared neck and Buddhistic lion handles, painted and gilt with opposing scenes of samurai and arhats against a simulated brocade ground, black and gilt signature below iron red and gilt Shimazu mon to base, height 18.2cm, together with a small group of other Japanese pottery, Meiji period and later, including a Satsuma cup and saucer, two pieces of Kutani and an Imari gourd shaped bottle vase, height 19.5cm (minor faults).
