A Japanese ivory inlaid gilt lacquer circular charger dish, Meiji period, the centre with a scene of three samurai, each with carved and stained ivory face and finely detailed dress, within a border of foliate, dragon and ho-o bird mon, gilt signature to base, diameter 60cm (broken in half, losses and repairs). Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this item.
