A Chinese plum silk embroidered robe, late Qing dynasty, finely worked in coloured threads with eight flower and butterfly roundels, above dragon heads and Buddhistic emblems emerging from crashing waves against rocks, with diagonally striped hem border, the cuffs similarly decorated, fitted with gilt metal ball fastenings, length 112cm.
